Dream big. Learn beyond limits.

Out Of This World Learning Academy is a private K–5 microschool in Miami, Florida — built by a parent, for parents, on the conviction that every child deserves a learning environment that meets them as an individual.

Mission

Our mission is to give K–5 learners in Miami a school day that feels like the rest of their life: curious, hands-on, social, and meaningful. We replace the one-size-fits-all classroom with a small, multi-age community where each child is known, challenged at their level, and trusted to lead parts of their own learning.

Out Of This World Learning Academy is a microschool — and microschools work because they remove what doesn't serve children (large class sizes, fixed pace, passive seat time) and add back what does (relationships, mastery-based progress, projects that connect school to the real world).

Pedagogy

Out Of This World Learning Academy blends mastery-based mornings with project-based afternoons in a small, multi-age microschool. Our framework is shaped by the Prenda microschool model and adapted to the OOTWA community — we walk through the day-to-day in detail on a tour.

Our partnership with the Prenda microschool network

Out Of This World Learning Academy is affiliated with Prenda, the largest microschool support network in the United States. Prenda doesn't replace the school — it backs it. Through this partnership we get:

  • A nationally-tested microschool curriculum framework and personalized-learning software, so each learner has a tailored daily plan.
  • Florida Step Up for Students (FES-EO) scholarship processing, so families can use their award to cover tuition without administrative friction.
  • Ongoing guide training, regulatory compliance support, and a network of fellow microschool leaders across the country.
  • A parent-matching platform that helps families discover OOTWA and complete enrollment in one place.

What that means for your family: the personal attention of a microschool plus the institutional reliability of a national network. Read more about how Prenda works on prenda.com, then start your application on the OOTWA Prenda page.

Visit OOTWA before the year fills.

Tours run by appointment year-round. We share our exact location once a tour is scheduled, for the safety and privacy of our learners.
